The pilot platforms keep closely aligned with the development requirements of the advanced materials industry, built around a core architecture of "data-driven intelligent design + full-process advanced processing validation". Centered on tackling universal industrialization bottlenecks including low customization efficiency of specialty materials and tough manufacturability of complex structural components, the platforms expedite the translation of university lab research from theoretical models into mature, scalable and replicable technologies. They provide solid technical backing for China’s strategic industries to break free from the constraints of bottleneck-locked core materials and manufacturing processes.
Four subsidiary pilot platforms are now under initial construction: the Public Service Platform for Intelligent Fabrication of Special Materials, Special Alloys Pilot Platform, Materials Joining Pilot Platform and Additive Manufacturing Pilot Platform.
